HoneyBoost and Testosterone: Does the Gummy Change Your Levels?
There is no HoneyBoost testosterone result to report. The label never uses the word testosterone, and no study tests the gummy. Maca did not change testosterone in its trial, and zinc raised it only in men low in zinc. Only a blood test, ordered by a clinician, tells you your level.

The label01
Does the HoneyBoost label claim to change testosterone?
No. The word testosterone does not appear among the label's claim lines, and the FDA box says the product is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The front panel says "Male Vitality Formula," "Intense Strength" and "Peak Stamina." Those are vague and we quote them only to answer them. None names a hormone, and none is backed by a source for this gummy.
A reader may still fill in the gap. The bottle does not, and we will not write the claim for it.
The FDA does not approve supplements before sale (FDA, Questions and Answers on Dietary Supplements). That is why the questions below matter.
The ingredient data02
What do maca, zinc and tongkat ali data show about testosterone?
Maca showed no change, zinc helped only where zinc was low, and tongkat ali showed higher totals in trials that used far more extract than one gummy holds.
| Label line (per gummy) | What the study found | Studied amount | Gummy as a share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maca extract 10:1, 10 mg (100 mg root) | No testosterone difference from placebo (Gonzales 2002, Maca and Sexual Desire) | 1,500 and 3,000 mg maca | 6.7% and 3.3% |
| Zinc 2.5 mg | Testosterone rose in 9 marginally deficient older men (Prasad 1996, Zinc Status and Testosterone) | About 30 mg a day | 8% |
| Tongkat ali extract, 25 mg | Higher total testosterone across five trials | 200 mg a day in one trial | 12.5% |
Memorial Sloan Kettering also says maca does not affect testosterone, LH, FSH, prolactin or estradiol in men. A systematic review of 52 studies on 27 proposed boosters concluded that most fail to raise total testosterone, and called Eurycoma longifolia possibly effective in men with late-onset hypogonadism.
Normal levels03
Would any of this matter if your testosterone is normal?
Probably not, and the sources do not claim it would. The zinc finding applies to men low in zinc, and the tongkat ali trials included men with low testosterone.
Testosterone falls gradually with age, about 1% a year after 30 or 40, and Mayo Clinic says treating normal aging with testosterone is not advisable (Mayo Clinic, Testosterone Therapy and Aging). Cleveland Clinic says providers consider a level under 300 ng/dL low, based on two morning blood samples.
That means a symptom list is not a diagnosis. Fatigue, low drive and poor sleep have many causes. Our low testosterone basics guide explains the testing, and the testosterone boosters explained guide shows how the category is judged.

How do you check testosterone, and does maca affect the test?
A clinician orders blood tests, usually two morning samples, and reads them with your symptoms.
Maca matters here. A case report in the Memorial Sloan Kettering page shows maca may interfere with testosterone immunoassays, the lab method many clinics use (MSK, Maca). If a test is coming, tell the clinician about every supplement, including this gummy.
- Bring the Supplement Facts panel.
- Ask whether to wait before testing; do not decide that yourself.
- Keep taking prescribed medicine and ask your doctor or pharmacist before any change.
The label also tells anyone with a medical condition or on other medications to consult a physician. For the fertility side of the question, read HoneyBoost and fertility.
FAQ05
HoneyBoost questions people ask
Is HoneyBoost a testosterone replacement?
No. It is a dietary supplement in gummy form, not a hormone and not a drug. The FDA does not approve supplements before sale, and the label claims no change in testosterone. Replacement therapy is prescribed after blood tests.
Can zinc in HoneyBoost lower testosterone?
No source says so at 2.5 mg. The NIH upper limit for adult zinc is 40 mg a day from all sources, and one gummy has 2.5 mg, about 23% of the 11 mg daily value.
Should I take HoneyBoost before a testosterone blood test?
Ask the clinician first. Maca may interfere with testosterone lab tests per Memorial Sloan Kettering, so tell them about every supplement. Do not skip or change prescribed medicine without their advice.
What is a normal testosterone level?
Cleveland Clinic says providers consider levels below 300 ng/dL low in adults, confirmed with two morning blood samples. Only a clinician can interpret your result alongside symptoms.
Does tongkat ali raise testosterone in healthy men?
The meta-analysis we cite found higher total testosterone with Eurycoma longifolia, and its authors said more research is needed. It does not show an effect from a 25 mg gummy line in men with normal levels.
