What Do Tongkat Ali Gummies Really Hold at 100:1 and 25 mg?
Tongkat ali gummies are chewables made with extract of Eurycoma longifolia root. HoneyBoost prints 25 mg of 100:1 extract per gummy, a label figure equal to 2,500 mg of root. One 6-month trial used 200 mg of extract a day, so one gummy holds 12.5% of that. No study tested HoneyBoost.

The short answer01
What does 100:1 mean in tongkat ali gummies?
A 100:1 ratio means about 100 parts of root went into making 1 part of extract. The label then restates the extract as a root equivalent.
HoneyBoost prints 25 mg of tongkat ali root extract at 100:1, "declared as" 2,500 mg of root. The 2,500 mg is arithmetic: 25 mg times 100.
It is not an amount of an active compound, and the gummy does not hold 2,500 mg of anything. The gummy weighs 4.2 g in total. Trial doses are extract amounts, so compare 25 mg of extract with 200 mg of extract, not with 2,500.
What studies used02
What do trials say about tongkat ali and testosterone?
Small trials link tongkat ali with higher total testosterone. The doses were above one gummy.
A meta-analysis of five randomized trials found higher total testosterone with Eurycoma. The authors say more research is required before clinical use (Leisegang 2022, Eurycoma and Testosterone Meta-analysis). A systematic review rates Eurycoma "possibly effective" for late-onset low testosterone and for healthy men, while finding most "testosterone booster" ingredients fail (Morgado 2024, T-Booster Evidence Review (IJIR)).
One 6-month trial gave 200 mg of extract daily, with training, to 45 men with low androgen levels.
| Source | Amount | One gummy (25 mg) |
|---|---|---|
| 6-month trial, 45 men | 200 mg extract a day | 12.5% |
| Traditional range (LiverTox) | 100 to 400 mg a day | 25% to 6% |
| HoneyBoost label | 25 mg extract, 100:1 | Not printed as a daily use |
These trials studied Eurycoma on its own. They did not test a six-ingredient gummy.
A common mix-up03
Do tongkat ali gummies help erections or only testosterone?
The meta-analysis reports testosterone only. It reports no erection outcome (Leisegang 2022, Eurycoma and Testosterone Meta-analysis).
So a testosterone result is not an erection result. We found no source that shows tongkat ali, at any dose, treats ED. The label lines "Intense Strength" and "Peak Stamina" are ad copy we quote, not findings.
Low drive and erection trouble have many causes. A clinician can test for heart disease, diabetes and low testosterone. Read about it on the low testosterone basics page.

Is tongkat ali safe and what should you watch for?
Reports of liver injury exist, so a clinician should hear about it if you have liver trouble.
LiverTox lists tongkat ali as a possible rare cause of liver injury and lists no drug interactions (LiverTox, Tongkat Ali).
Quality is a second worry. A test of 100 products on the Malaysian market in 2004 found mercury above Malaysia's limit in 36 of them (Ang 2004, Mercury in Tongkat Ali Products). That sample is old and local. It is not a test of HoneyBoost, and it shows why a lab report matters. None is published for this product.

Choosing05
How should you judge any tongkat ali gummy?
Judge it by the printed amount, the ratio and the lab proof, not by the root equivalent.
Look for an extract amount in milligrams. Ask what the ratio means, and ask for a lab report. Our post on tongkat ali dosage goes through trial doses in more detail.
Count the sugar too: 3 g of added sugar per gummy. The ingredients page shows all seven lines side by side.
FAQ06
HoneyBoost questions people ask
Is 25 mg of tongkat ali extract a lot?
It is small beside trials. One 6-month trial used 200 mg of extract daily, so 25 mg is 12.5% of that. The label figure of 2,500 mg is root equivalent, which is not how trials counted doses.
Can you take tongkat ali gummies every day?
The HoneyBoost label prints no directions, only a serving of 1 gummy. We found no source that sets a safe daily gummy count. Ask a clinician, especially with liver, heart or hormone concerns.
Is tongkat ali the same as Eurycoma longifolia?
Yes. Eurycoma longifolia is the plant's scientific name, and tongkat ali is a common name for the same plant. Studies of testosterone use the Latin name, which is why labels print both.
Does tongkat ali interact with medicines?
LiverTox lists no drug interactions for tongkat ali. That is not proof of none. HoneyBoost contains other ingredients with cautions, so ask a pharmacist if you take heart, blood pressure or mood medicine.
